I'm reading Dracula. When I play in a genre I like to read some of the early source material for the genre while world building to at least know what rules I'm breaking. Since I'm playing with a vampire story, I started reading Dracula. I'm really enjoying the book! Even though some of the language can be difficult and the prose can get a bit thick, the characters are amazing!
This is a scene from the sub plot (really the main plot for a good portion of the story) where two doctors, one with knowledge of vampires and one without, are trying to treat Lucy, a young woman who is being fed on by Dracula. At one point, things are looking up for Lucy. Van Helsing insists on filling her room with garlic flowers. And to the confusion of everyone, it seems to be helping her get better. I loved the description of the scene and wanted to draw it

What a nice depiction of the scene! Man I started reading Dracula a bit back, but only made it halfway through--not for lack of interest at all, I just put it down and failed to pick it back up for some reason.
